What is VentureClad?

VentureClad® Plus 1579CW® is a 13-ply self adhesive jacketing material. It is a patented, zero permeability, absolute weather and vapor barrier for insulation cladding and jacketing applications. Available in natural aluminum, white, and Stucco Embossed both with and without adhesive.

What is VentureClad made of?

It is comprised of a 5-ply aluminum and polymer laminated film with an aggressive pressure sensitive adhesive and release liner. The special multi-ply laminate film contains an outer protective coat that improves resistance to UV and environmental contaminants.

Can you paint VentureClad?

3M™ VentureClad™ products can be painted. 3M™ recommends that you consult with a paint specialist on how best to paint the given surface for outdoor use.

What is venture tape used for?

Venture Tape 1520CW Cold Weather Foil Insulation Tape is a 2 mil (50 micron) aluminum foil tape primarily used for improved vapor sealing of fiberglass ductboard, ductwrap and FSK systems.

Is there heat resistant tape?

What’s the difference between red and blue Tuck tape?

You can see in the close up picture, the blue tape is quite a bit thicker than the red tape (4.1 vs. 3 mil). The bulk of that added thickness seems to be from additional adhesive; the blue roll is quite squishy and is really wavy, while the red roll is much firmer.

What can I use in place of heat tape?
