Passenger WAV s are the most common type of WAV available on the Scheme. These vehicles are specially adapted to allow a wheelchair user to travel as a passenger. The wheelchair user will usually access the vehicle via a ramp or lift and the wheelchair will then be secured in place with tie downs.
Can you get nearly new cars on Motability?
Motability offers both new and Nearly New WAVS on the same worry-free package. Nearly New WAV s are vehicles in good overall condition that are a maximum of three years old.
Can I get a WAV on Motability?

You will need to have at least 12 months’ remaining on your qualifying allowance to order a new car. If you have less than 12 months remaining when it’s time to place a new application, or you would prefer to wait until you have confirmation of your new award, we will be able to extend your current lease.
Can I keep my Motability car after 3 years?
The end of your lease. At the end of your lease you just hand your car back and if like most customers you choose to stay with us, you can select a new car and take another lease. Motability Scheme leases generally run for three years from the date that you took delivery of your car.
